Regal Teak Adirondack Chair and Ottoman Set

Our Regal Teak furniture is fully machine made and buffed to a silky finish. It boasts Mortise and Tenon Joinery, solid marine grade polished brass fittings and solid Kiln Dried Teak wood. These light-weight and easy to assemble Teak furniture pieces make a classic addition to any indoor or outdoor setting!

This Teak furniture is delivered unfinished, allowing you to finish it to your preference. Oil or Polyurethane can be applied to hide blemishes and make the finish more attractive. Applying Teak Oil will delay the onset of weathering and the naturally occurring UV Light Bleaching as long as the oil or finish is effective. Oil must be reapplied after 6-12 months to preserve the color.

Teak wood may be left unfinished. It will then weather to a gorgeous silver-gray. The weathering process is gradual and takes between 3-12 months, depending on the level of sunlight it is exposed to. When exposed to moisture (rain, high humidity, etc.), its grain will slightly lift. This natural process expands and contracts the wood during wet and dry cycles. Weathering WILL NOT impact its strength or durability. The Teak will return to it's smooth feel after the initial weathering process. Teak furniture does not require treatment to protect the wood.

It is possible and quite simple to restore the original color of sun bleached Teak. Chemical applications or a light sanding will easily restore the wood to its natural beauty. Sanding Teak lightly will remove the top bleached layer. To prevent further bleaching, be sure to apply Teak Oil or finish shortly after sanding. Teak Cleaners are readily available online or at your local home improvement stores. Teak Cleaners are caustic and remove a fine layer of the wood to raise the grain slightly. Make sure the cleaner is completely rinsed away and the wood has dried thoroughly before applying any kind of oil or finish.
